Alfa Bank (Ukraine) raises statutory capital by UAH 0.74bn (USD 93.36mn).

Alfa Bank (Ukraine) has increased the statutory fund by UAH 739.435mn (USD 93.36mn) to UAH 3,716mn, reads a statement by the bank. According to the statement made by the bank, on Nov 30, 2009, the general shareholders' meeting of Alfa Bank (Ukraine) decided to boost the statutory fund by additional issue of simple registered shares (private placement of 739,435,000 shares with the face value of UAH 1). As earlier reported, the assets of Alfa Bank (Ukraine) were valued at UAH 27,288.8mn as of Apr 1, 2010, when its loans to clients and its clients' loan debts amounted to UAH 25,756.2mn and its equity capital amounted to UAH 2,292.4mn. The bank ended Q1 with a net profit of UAH 399,000 after ending the entire 2009 with a loss of UAH 348.405mn.
