76% of Internet users in Slovakia shop online.

76% of the Internet users in Slovakia shop online, a survey conducted by the Gemius research agency among thirteen CEE countries reveals. Online shopping is preferred because it is less time consuming and saves money, the survey reveals. However, 25% of the country's Internet users think that e-shopping is risky and complicated. The E-commerce 2009 study shows that online shopping is very popular in the Czech Republic where 81% of Internet users make online purchases. According to the survey, an average 43% of respondents from across CEE would buy online in the future as often as now while 33% declare that they will shop online more often. Polish Gemius SA claims to be the largest online research agency in Central and Eastern Europe.
