Yields rise at Albanias T-bills auction.

Albanias central bank, which places state securities on behalf of the government, sold ALL 14.3bn (EUR 102.2mn) of 12-month and 6-month Treasury bills at an auction on March 13, the bank said. It sold 12-month notes worth ALL 10.1bn and 6-month bills worth ALL 4.2bn. The average yield on the 12-month securities picked up to 7.32% from 7.28% at the previous auction held on February 28. The yields on the 6-month T-bills increased to 6.20% from 6.14% a month earlier. The central bank decided on January 25 to cut the base key interest rate by 25bps to a 10-year low of 4.50%. It has auctioned T-bills worth ALL 87.2bn since the beginning of 2012.
