Wal-Mart plans entering Russia.

According to Reuters citing head of Wal-Mart International Doug McMillan, Wal-Mart is holding negotiations with several potential partners in Russia regarding entering the Russian retail market. McMillan added that one of the most attractive entrance strategies would be acquiring an existing local retailer. As announced in May 2010, Wal-Mart is negotiating acquiring food retailer Lenta, however, it may take several months to one year until the deal is reached.
