USAID to provide USD 0.5mn for technological upgrade of Albanian SMEs.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will provide USD 0.5mn to support the technological modernisation of Albanian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Albanian Daily News reported. The US agency plans to provide at least 50 grants in the next three years under the Growth project that is aimed at increasing the competitiveness of local business. USAID, which is one of Albanias major foreign donors, has already provided financial assistance for the development of a number of economic sectors such as tourism, IT and agriculture.
