Unemployment rate in Kazakhstan flat at 5.2% in September.

Unemployment rate remained flat at the level of 5.2% in September, the State Stat Agency has informed. The number of people registered in the state agencies as unemployed amounted to 51.7thsd. The amount does not include people who are beneficent of State Programme “Employment Road map 2020’. The level of hidden  unemployment is estimated at 0.4%.

Significantly, the level of unemployment in Kazakhstan is constantly declining as a result of GDP growth and state policy aimed at easing social tensions by providing new jobs.  At the same time, Kyrgyz and Uzbek people are migrating to Kazakhstan where there are being employed in low-paid sectors  as agriculture.
