Ukraine among three leading countries by fall in housing prices.

In QI, in most world countries housing prices have increased y/y, but in Ukraine the cost of housing at an annual rate fell by 21.4%, below are only Lithuania (22.5%) and Latvia (34.3%). A growth in housing prices was higher than over the previous quarter, according to a report by the industry research portal Global Property Guide. According to data, the largest price increase against Q1/2009 was registered in Hong Kong (29.6%), Singapore (25.1%) and Taiwan (20.0%). At the same time, some countries experienced a significant drop in housing costs in the annual terms. For example, in Greece, this index fell by 2%, in Denmark - by 2.5% in the Netherlands - by 3.7%, in Croatia - by 4.4%, in Spain - by 4.7%, in Iceland - by 7.6%, in Slovakia - by 8.3%, in Thailand - by 16.7%, in Bulgaria - by 17.8%, in Ireland - by 18.9%, in Ukraine (Kyiv) - by 21.4%, in Lithuania - by 22.5%, in Latvia (Riga) - by 34.3%.
