Three new border points to link Albania and Kosovo soon.

Three new border checkpoints will soon be opened on the Albania-Kosovo border, foreign ministers of the two countries Ilir Meta and Skender Hyseni agreed. The two state officials held a meeting in Tirana to discuss expansion in bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, tourism and energy. Meta highlighted that joining IMF and World Bank as well as integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures will be of great importance for the further development of Kosovo. Meanwhile, at a separate meeting PM Sali Berisha spoke of the need for conducting a feasibility study for construction of railway line between the two neighbouring countries.
