Thailand to encourage investments that promote sustainable development.

According to a news agency TNA , Board of Investment (BoI) Secretary-General Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble stated on Monday that during a recent BoI meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva, it was decided that Thailand would revise the investment policy introduced during 2007-2008. Brimble said that Thailand would now encourage investment that could promote the country's sustainable development. The meeting decided that investment privileges would be granted only to those projects that would enable the upgradation of Thailand's industrial sector into a high-technology sector and would contribute to the country's economic growth.
