Calvin Cho, president of South Korean LGs Turkish unit, said that LG, encouraged by the Turkish governments investment incentives programme, was planning to establish a production plant in Turkey. This would be a green field investment, Cho added, without providing details. LG contacted the Turkish government regarding its plans and a final decision on plant investment would be taken within three months, Cho said. LG is producing air conditioners together with local Arcelik at a plant in Gebze, near Istanbul.
