RWE develops 350MW wind farms in Eastern Romania.

The German energy group RWE is developing two wind farms with an aggregated installed capacity of 350MW in the Eastern region of Romania, according to unofficial sources quoted by local media. The company reportedly reached advanced stage in obtaining the operating licenses. RWE also considers other locations for similar investments in North-Eastern part of the country. Other developers of wind farms in the country are CEZ, Enel and Iberdola. Power grid operator Transelectica estimates the installed power of the wind farms commissioned this year at 600MW. Most of the projects are developed in the Eastern part of the country.
