Residential housing construction in Russia fell by 10.4% to 33.4mn square metres in January-July, according to Rosstat, Vedomosti reported.
In July a total of 5.4mn sqm of housing was built, which is 5.6% less than in July 2016, Rosstat said.
In month-on-month terms, the fall in housing construction was 6.6% m/m in June, 2.5% in May, 11.4% in April, 9% in March, 17% in February, and 21.6% in January.
According to the adjusted data of Rosstat, in 2016 80.2mn sqm of housing was built, which is 6% less than in 2015.
The value of construction in July was worth RUB623.2bn ($10.5bn).
