Raiffeisen Bank Albania awarded best bank of 2009

The financial magazine The Banker awarded the local subsidiary of Austrian bank group, Raiffeisen Bank Albania with the prestigious title Best Bank of the Year 2009 in an official ceremony in London , the bank informed. The award reflects the performance of the bank, which is the leading financial institution active on the local market. In our estimates Raiffeisen secured a significant 29% share of the total bank assets as end-September. Banks net profit accounted for some EUR 11mn. The bank operates a network of 102 branches throughout Albania and employs a staff of 1,380 people. The Banker also selected Raiffeisens networks in Belarus and Bosnia-Herzegovina as best banks in the respective countries.
