Primary articles WPI decreased 0.1% during the week that ended on December.

India's wholesale price index (WPI) for primary articles decreased 0.1% to 197.5 during the week that ended on December 17 this year, as compared with a provisional reading of 197.7 posted in the previous week. As reported by Dow Jones International News, according to the data released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the prices of primary articles increased 2.70% y/y during the period, as compared to the 3.78% gain posted during the week that ended December 10. The food articles index decreased 0.4% to 190.3 during the period, as compared to 191.0 posted in the previous week, while the fuel index increased 0.2% to 172.7 during the period.
