Business tendency surveys carried out in May by national stats office GUS show a stabilisation of business climate in the information technology and telecommunications services sector - the sector's indicator was unchanged on the month at 9pts.
This month, an improvement is noted by 16% of the surveyed enterprises, while worsening - by 7% (vs. 17% and 8%, respectively, in April), GUS reported.
Enterprises are more optimistic as for demand, sales and financial standing, while current assessments in these areas continue to be negative. ICT firms report their prices are falling and they expect this trend to be continued. Also, the sector may see a small wave of layoffs.
