PM Gruevski, ministers to promote investment opportunities in Macedonia .

The government held the fourth session of its economic council, which confirmed the schedule of the visits by PM Nikola Gruevski and the economic ministers in a number of countries, aimed at attracting foreign investments, Vecer daily reported. By the end of this year, "road shows" will be held in the Netherlands, England, Italy, France, Turkey, Belgium and the United States. Those visits will be carried out in cooperation with the foreign investments agency. The council also confirmed action plans for three strategic projects to be carried out by state-owned electricity transmission operator MEPSO. Those projects include the construction of 400 kV power lines to connect Stip and Nis (Serbia), as well as Bitola and Elbasan (Albania). The third project involves building 400 kV power line to Kosovo. The council also said that distribution centres for agricultural products will be built and offered to foreign investors. Another issue discussed involved the transformation of the army barracks.
