PM Erdogan: Turkey has no intention of attacking any country.

By bne IntelliNews June 28, 2012
PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey had no and would not have intention of attacking any country (implying its neighbour Syria) but it would respond to any hostile behaviour. Last week, a Turkish fighter jet was downed by Syria. Syria claimed that the jet was hit in its airspace but Turkey challenged this story, saying that even though its warplane mistakenly entered Syrian airspace for a short period of time it was hit in international airspace. On a separate story, four soldiers were killed yesterday in a clash with the terrorist organisation PKK in the countrys southeast.
