Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has officially launched its new freight line linking southern Italy with Albanian port of Durres, Albanian Daily News reported. The Swiss-based company will serve the route once a week units its container ship Lady Elisabeth. MSC expects to handle 30,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) a year on the new route. The company has already performed 15 trial round trips on that course. Durres is Albanias largest port and handles some 85% of the countrys international maritime freight. |
