MSC launches freight line to Albanian Durres.

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) has officially launched its new freight line linking southern Italy with Albanian port of Durres, Albanian Daily News reported. The Swiss-based company will serve the route once a week units its container ship Lady Elisabeth. MSC expects to handle 30,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) a year on the new route. The company has already performed 15 trial round trips on that course. Durres is Albanias largest port and handles some 85% of the countrys international maritime freight.
