MENA's franchise industry estimated at USD 30bn.

The franchise industry in the MENA region is estimated at USD 30bn, Trade Arabia reported, citing figures from research and marketing firm International Expo-Consults (IEC). The company added that the franchise industry represents nearly 70% of the retail businesses in the region. American and European brands top the franchises in the region especially in the Gulf countries, IEC noted. Franchise Selection reported that fast food franchise accounted for 40% of the total MENA market and is expected to grow by an annual average of 27%.
