Macedonias government earmarks EUR 78mn for infrastructure projects in 2012.

PM Nikola Gruevski said that the government has earmarked about EUR 78mn for construction and reconstruction of local and regional roads, a release on the cabinets website informs. He also mentioned the Corridor X motorway section Demir-Kapija Smokvica that will cost more than EUR 200mn and will be financed mainly by the EBRD, EIB and EU IPA, while the Macedonia government participates with EUR 6mn. Gruevski said that they are working with the EBRD, aiming to launch the construction of the railway to Bulgaria by the end of this year. The PM said that their plans also envisage completion of the road Strumica-Radovis and several other regional roads.
