Macedonian IPARD agency gets green light from EU to start funds utilisation.

The Macedonian agency in charge of distributing distribute funds under the EU pre-accession programme for rural development IPARD got authorisation to start utilising the funds, local media reported. The agency scheduled the first public announcement for IPARD funds for December 23. The first contracts are to be signed in June. The agency will get EUR 24.3mn, 75% of which are coming from IPARD and 25% - from the state budget. A project can be awarded from EUR 200,000 to EUR 800,000, depending on the measure under which it is applying. IPARD envisages investments in three measures - investments in agricultural economy, investments for processing and marketing in agriculture and development of rural activities.
