Macedonia to sell stakes in 4 troubled companies in February.

The state will call sell-off tenders in February for its stakes in four troubled public companies, local TV channel Kanal 5 said quoting the economy ministry. Deloitte & Touche and Bulgarias Bulbrokers together with Stater Bank are the consultancies that are preparing the tender papers and the privatisation methodologies of the four firms. Deloitte & Touche will prepare the tender for chemicals manufacturer Ohis, while Bulbrokers will handle electronics maker EMO, tobacco maker Tutunski Kombinat and military equipment producer Eurokompozit. The sell-off is taking place in two stages in the first three months the consultancies are conducting due diligence and offer privatisation strategies, while in the second phase the buyers will have to be picked within nine months. The state will pay EUR 700,000 for the consultancy services.
