The construction of Pan-European transport Corridor 10 is of mutual interest for both Macedonia and Serbia, Macedonian vice premier for economic affairs Vladimir Pesevski and Serbian economy minister Mladjan Dinkic concluded at a press conference on Wednesday. Macedonia should complete the construction of its stretch of the Corridor by the end of 2013 in case it manages to secure the necessary financing in 2010, Pesevski said. "The completion of Corridor 10 both in Serbia and Macedonia will be significant not only to the development of traffic but also to the development of industry and foreign investments inflow into our countries," Dinkic said. The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the development of the economic cooperation between the countries. In 2009, trade between Macedonia and Serbia amounted to USD 663mn.
