Macedonia's economic council holds first session.

The governments economic council, a new body focused exclusively on the economy, has held its first session, a release on the cabinets website informs. The council is chaired by PM Nikola Gruevski and its permanent members also include the central bank governor, the ministers with economic functions, as well as other officials with responsibilities in the area of the economy. The council also includes non-permanent members that could come from the academia, the business, or from institutions which do not have permanent members. The council will meet every Monday and will discuss topics from the economic section of the governments working programme for 2011-2015, as well as other current economic developments influencing the domestic economy. The cabinet will issue opinions on the conclusions from the councils debates.
