Macedonia mulls EUR 400mn in new loans from EBRD, EIB.

The government mulls applying for new loans worth about EUR 400mn from the EBRD and the EIB to finance key infrastructure projects over the next couple of years, local TV channel Kanal 5 reported. Some of the major projects include a railway between Macedonia and Bulgaria and the construction of the gas supply network, finance minister Zoran Stavreski said. Meanwhile, the government also approved a EUR 70mn loan from the IMF to cover the budget deficit.
