Macedonia, FAO sign USD 0.34mn agriculture land management agreement.

Agriculture minister Ljupco Dimovski and FAO CEE coordinator, Fernanda Guerrieri, signed USD 0.34mn agreement for a project aimed at improving the management of state-owned agriculture land, local media reported. The project, which will take two years, envisages amendments to the relevant legislation, reforms in the farming land management authority, improvement of the transparency and the leasing mechanisms and will thus contribute for the development of the rural regions. Guerreri pointed out that the successful implementation of the project would help the farmers to be more competitive in the agriculture sector.
