Macedonia bourse posts EUR 4.7mn turnover in August.

The Macedonian Stock Exchange (MSE) posted a turnover of MKD 157.46mn (EUR 4.7mn) in August, which was a ten-fold increase on the month, the bourses monthly report showed. The turnover of shares fell by 2.8% m/m to MKD 96.6mn and of bonds by 25.9% m/m to MKD 60.8mn. The volume of the block transactions, which numbered two, soared 60 times to MKD 2.16bn and thus accounted for 93.2% of the entire trade volume for the month. The number of transactions edged up by 0.98% to 1,653. The market capitalisation of shares decreased by 1.7% to MKD 116.4bn. The overall market capitalisation narrowed by 1.4% to MKD 130mn. The indices dynamics showed that MBI10 fell by 1.4% to 2,321.59 and MBID by 0.4% to 2,533.11. OMB on the other hand edged up by 0.9% to 109.8. The most traded companies in terms of turnover were Komercijalna Banka, Alkaloid, Makpetrol,Granit, Toplifikacija Skopje, Makstil, Stopanska Banka Bitola, Makedonijaturist, Beton, and Replek. The biggest gainers were Hoteli Metropol (up 10%), Ohis (up 7.1%), and Skopski Pazar (up 7.1%). The biggest losers were Granit (up 7.9%), Makstil (up 5.5%) and Alkaloid (up 4.1%).
