Macedonia ranked one before last among the west-Balkan countries in terms of attractiveness for foreign investors according to the association of commercial chambers in Europe EUROCHAMBERS, local media reported. Serbia topped the list, followed by Croatia , Montenegro , Bosnia and Herzegovina , Macedonia and Albania . The overall assessment of the region according to the surveyed investors was that the Western Balkans are attractive FDI destination. Some 91% of the respondents consider the regional to be politically much moir's stable than it used to be, but still needs to work on the obstacles before the investors like corruption, inefficient legislation, problems with the public administrative, macroeconomic instability, poor infrastructure, high lending interest among others. Macedonia and Montenegro were the countries to best promote their legislative amendments in the economic and tax sector. Some 55% of the foreign companies said they were already operating in the region, while 40% consider it an option.
