Macedonia agricultural output price index up 7.2% y/y in December 2011.

The total output price index in agriculture increased by 7.2% y/y in December, accelerating from an annual increase of 4% in November, according to data of the statistics office. The prices of crop production grew by 7% y/y, speeding up from 2.7% y/y in November. The annual growth of livestock production prices accelerated slightly - from 7.9% in November to 8% in December. The annual growth of the price index for inputs used in agriculture decelerated from 6% in November to 4.2% in December. The deceleration reflects slower annual growth of the subindex for goods currently consumed in the sector, which rose by 4.2% in December, after increasing by 6.1% in the previous month. The price index for investment in agriculture rose by 3.9% y/y last month, slightly accelerating from 3.8% y/y in November.
