LT: Port of Klaipeda leader in containers cargo among Baltic ports.

Lithuanian port of Klaipeda recorded total TEU containers loading volume of 241,284 units in Jan-Oct period, which indicates 19% y/y increase. General cargo loading volume increased by 29.1% y/y and amounted to 8.0mn tons in Jan-Oct period. Bulk cargo volumes grew by 25.7% y/y and amounted to 9.6mn tons of cargo, while liquid cargo volumes declined by 10.7% y/y and stood at 7.7mn tons. Total cargo volume stood at 25.3mn tons, which indicates 12.7% y/y increase. Port of Klaipeda remains second among the Baltic States ports, following port of Tallinn, but ahead of Ventspils and Riga ports.
