LT: Lufthansa passengers traffic from Baltics up by 18% y/y in 2009.

German airline Lufthansa passengers traffic amounted to 220,000 from the Baltic countries in 2009, which indicates increase of 18% y/y. Matthias Hinze, head for the Baltic countries region, said that good results again proved value of the companys proposal for the Baltic travellers. The company has flights to Frankfurt from all three capitals of the Baltic countries. The company plans to open a second route from Tallinn in Spring to Munich. Hinze forecasts, that additional flight should increase passengers traffic by 20%.
