LT: Lithuanian Railways cargo volume up by 20.2% y/y in Q1.

Lithuanian national rail company Lithuanian Railways cargo volume increased by 20.2% y/y in Q1 and amounted to 11.8mn tons, Statistics Lithuania announced. International cargo amounted to 9.3mn tons and increased by 35.7% y/y. Domestic cargo volumes contracted by 14.6% y/y and amounted to 2.6mn tons in Q1. In March alone cargo volume amounted to 3.9mn tons, which indicates 20.0% y/y increase. In m/m terms cargo volume increased by 0.4% m/m in March.
