LT: Lithuania ranks 36th in Competitiveness Index.

Lithuania ranked 36th in the International Countries Competitiveness Index, up by 9 places y/y. Estonia improved its position by 2 places y/y in the ranking, while Latvia has not been included in the research. Entrepreneurship factor improved from 21st position to 4th in the ranking, improving by 17 places y/y. Trust in managers factor improved from 53rd place to 47th y/y. Paulius Lukauskas, head of Versli Lietuva organisation, indicated that the ranking affirms that entrepreneurship in Lithuania is growing, with high number of young start-ups and entrepreneurs. Lithuania ranks first among the number of women in the workforce, and communication technologies usage. According to mobile phones usage, and Internet usage Lithuania ranks 5th in the ranking. While according to international trade Lithuania improved from 29th position to 17th. The research has been carried out by Swiss business school IMD.
