LT: Chevron submits application to explore shale gas resources in Lithuania.

International oil company's Chevron subsidiary Chevron Exploration & Production Lietuva has submitted its application to start exploration for shale gas resources in Lithuania, Lithuanian geology authority announced. Chevron was the only company that submitted application for the tender. If the company wins the tender it will have to invest LTL 80mn (EUR 23.2mn) in exploration of the sources in Silute-Taurage region. For the second tender for exploration in Kudirkos-Kybartai region there were two applications received by Diseta and Perkuno Nafta.
