LT: Bank of Lithuania net profit at EUR 150mn in 2009.

Bank of Lithuania recorded net profit of LTL 519mn (EUR 150mn) in 2009, the bank announced. Chairman of the board of the Bank of Lithuania Reinoldijus Sarkinas said that the banks net profit has been the highest for the past 20 years. Sarkinas said that the most of the profit has been recorded has been due to good management of foreign reserves. 70% of the profit will be transferred to the budget of the central government, while the rest will increase retained earnings of the bank.
