Lebanon-based Bank Audi targets to open 50-60 branches in Turkey in the next few years, Reuters quotes Freddie Baz, CFO of the bank, as saying. Bank Audi will focus mainly on corporate and commercial banking in the Turkish market, but it will also be interested in leasing and factoring activities, Baz added. The CFO of the bank asserted that Bank Audi does not currently consider merger or acquisition in Turkey but it would look into these possibilities if they may arise. The banking regulator granted a banking licence to Bank Audi last year.
