Industrial output increased 3% y/y in October.

Malaysia's industrial output increased 3% y/y during October this year, primarily driven by increases in manufacturing and electricity output. As reported by Dow Jones International News, according to data released by the Department of Statistics, output from the key manufacturing sector grew 4.5% y/y, electricity output expanded 5.0% y/y while the mining sector output shrank 1.1% y/y during the period.
