Imports of finished wear increased by 19% y/y in Jan-Aug.

Indonesia's imports of finished wear grew 19% y/y during the first eight months of this year dominated by imports from China. As reported by Asia Pulse, imports during that period were valued at USD 84.2mn, which included USD 29.3mn from China. The imports of textiles from China have tended to rise after the implementation of the Asean-China free trade agreement which was effective from January 1, 2010.
