IMF comments on relations with Turkey.

Director of IMF external relations department, Caroline Atkinson says that the Fund and the local authorities will focus on article IV consultations and the timetable for consultation talks will become clear in the coming weeks. Atkinson also asserts that the Fund and the local authorities had goods discussions, which lasted for 18 months, on a possible stand-by accord. Recall that the Fund and the government decided to call off stand-by talks because of certain disagreements. Earlier this week, economy minister Ali Babacan says that the Fund and the government had different views on how to use revenues and the restructuring of the revenues administration.
