General Motors recalls 22,472 vehicles in Middle East.

Car maker General Motors (GM) recalled 22,472 vehicles in the Middle East as part of its worldwide recall of 1.5mn vehicles, according to media reports. The recall is aimed to address a problem with the vehicles' heated windshield wiper fluid system that could lead to a fire. The recalled models include Cadillac, Hummer, Chevrolet Avalanche, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, and Chevrolet Traverse, among others. Owners of recalled vehicles would receive USD 100 as compensation for the disabling of the washer fluid system, the company said.
