Industry minister Nihat Ergun said that General Electric (GE) plans major investments in Turkey. GE wants to invest in the fields of medical equipment, locomotive production, jet engines production and it also plans to establish a R&D unit, Ergun explained. An official statement will be made in June during a visit to the country by GEs vice president, the minister said. GE sold its stake in local lender Garanti Bankasi to BBVA. |
