EU to facilitate distribution of foreign aid to Albania.

The government and the EU have agreed to strengthen the coordination for distribution of foreign aid from EU countries to Albania. In this regards technology minister Genc Pollo, the ambassadors of Italy, Austria and Sweden and the Head of the EC Delegation Helmuth Lohan signed a memorandum of understanding. This accord determines the role and responsibilities of the donors and defines a leader donor in each sector. It will improve the coordination of all efforts to increase the efficiency of foreign aid, minister Pollo commented. He added that the mechanism will also be taken into consideration when dealing with foreign aid from non-EU countries.
