Eni Romania (formerly Agip) estimates a 6% y/y drop in the car fuels sales in Q1 and notes slight improvement in sales during March, reporting at the same time that it outperformed the market with a 8-9% y/y rise in sales given the network's expansion. Under the consensus estimate of the market players, the car fuels sales dropped by 6-10% y/y in 2009. At the end of 2008, Eni Romania took over ten filling stations from MOL under a broader regional deal between the two companies. Currently Eni Romania operates 38 filling stations and will add another 4 by the yearend. The company will also re-brand the stations from old Agip label to the new Eni one.
