Employment opportunities in Poland to deteriorate in Q4 - Manpower.

By bne IntelliNews September 13, 2011
Jobseekers in Poland need to hurry finding a job as new vacancies will be available by the end of September, while stagnation is expected as of October, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna quoted a Manpower report. Data indicate that in Q3 the net employment outlook index stood at 14%, while it will deteriorate to 7% in Q4. The report points out several industries, which will probably raise headcount - construction, finance and insurance, real estate, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, and transport. Lay-offs are seen in the power and gas industry, as well as in the public sector institutions. Reduction of employment is possible in the energy and gas sectors since these segments have recently hired a large number of employees. In terms of regional distribution, employment opportunities will be highest in southwestern, south and central Poland. Worsening of the employment situation is expected in northern, northwestern and eastern Poland.
