EE: EU aid to Estonia at EUR 5.9bn in 2014-2020.

In the confirmed EU budget, planned aid for Estonia amounted to EUR 5.89bn in 2014-2020, up by EUR 907mn as compared to 2007-2013. PM Andrus Ansip commented that Estonia can consider the budget negotiations successful, as Estonias is one of the few states that had their position improve as compared to November. Direct payments to farmers will grow by 70% y/y to EUR 196 per ha, with the sum of direct payments to farmers reaching 75% of EU average by 2020. Total support for Estonian agriculture is to increase by 41%.
