EE: Estonian Railways cargo volume up by 5.9% y/y in July.

Estonian state owned railway company Eesti Raudtee recorded total of 2.4mn tons of cargo carried on the companys railways in July, 5.9% y/y increase. The company indicates that the cargo volume declined by 2% m/m in July. In Jan-Jul the companys cargo volume amounted to 18.3mn tons, up by 11.1% y/y. Oil and oil products cargo volumes declined by 5% y/y, and amounted to 1.5mn tons. In Jan-Jul, oil and oil products amounted to 12.4mn tons of cargo, which indicates 8.2% y/y increase. In Jan-Jul, transit cargo accounted for 76.2% of total cargo amounting to 13.9mn tons, up by 3.3% y/y. Local shipments increased by 51% y/y in Jan-Jul, up to 3.2mn tons. Imports and exports amounted to 1.1mn tons, 37% y/y increase. In Jan-Jul containers cargo amounted to 18,088 TEU, 50% y/y increase.
