EE: Estonia's aid-to-GDP ratio lowest in EU.

According to EC's Aid Scoreboard study, out of all EU member states Estonia provided the least state aid to its domestic companies in 2008. Its aid-to- GDP ratio amounted to 0.3% last year, almost flat as compared to 2003. Estonia also provided the least aid also in absolute terms. Estonia was followed by Greece , Italy and Austria that provided less than 0.5% of GDP in aid to its companies, while the highest amount of state aid was registered in Latvia and Luxembourg (5.1% of GDP and 7.8% of GDP , respectively).
