SEB Bank carried out a survey of purchasing power and real income, according to which Estonia's income increase in the past two years was the fastest among the Baltic States. Latvia's real wages growth was impeded by high taxes and growing inflation, while Lithuania's real wage was declining for the past 12 consecutive quarters. Gross wages growth was the fastest in Estonia as well, with average indicator in Estonia exceeding this of Latvia by 28% of Lithuania by 37%. Average monthly gross wage in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania last year was EUR 865mn, EUR 676mn and EUR 630, respectively. |
