EE: Aecom wins Rail Baltica feasibility study public tender.

Aecom won a public tender to perform a feasibility study on a Rail Baltica project, an European gauge railway from Lithuanian-Polish border to Tallinn . The total cost of feasibility study is EUR 0.4mn. The study has to be carried out in 10 months after the signing of the agreement. The Baltic States railway network uses 1,520mm gauge, which is different from the most prevalent European standard of 1,435mm. The agreement signing is planned on March 15 th , the public tender has been organized by the Latvian Ministry of Transport, and the feasibility study has to create grounds for the consideration of the project among the Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian governments.
