Croatia, EU may sign accession treaty on Dec 9 - report.

Croatia and the EU might sign an accession treaty on December 9, 2011, news agency HINA reported, quoting sources from the Polish EU presidency. The Committee of Permanent Representatives (COREPER) approved an English-language version of the treaty on the countrys accession. On December 1, 2011 the treaty will reportedly be voted on by the European Parliament, while the Council of the EU would give its consent most probably on December 5, 2011. The treaty has to be ratified by the EU members after its signing. Croatia had to organise a referendum in 30 days after the signing of the treaty.
